Obtaining the PMI’s Risk Management Professional PMI-RMP® credential is a solution to project management’s increasing growth, complexity and diversity. Globally recognized and demanded, the PMI-RMP® fills the need for a specialist role in project risk management. Not all positions require certification, however it does identify the individuals desire to develop professionally and enhance their management skills.

HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW IF YOU’RE CONSIDERING CERTIFICATION…
- There is no prerequisite certification for the PMI-RMP. This certification is a stand-alone offering (In other words, a CAPM/PMP is not required).
- Secondary degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree, or the global equivalent)
- 4,500 hours of project risk management experience
- 40 hours of project risk management education
OR - Four-year degree (bachelor’s degree or the global equivalent)
- 3,000 hours of project risk management experience
- 30 hours of project risk management education
